American Hostage RELEASED FROM ISRAEL After 9 Months
Obviously, Trump didn’t publicly help at all.
Senator Chris Van Hollen continues to be one of the very few Democrats actually doing anything.
Mohammed Ibrahim, a 16-year-old American, was taken by Israel in the middle of the night and held for 9 months without trial and without being able to contact his family.
While in Israeli captivity, Mohammed was beaten into confessing to throwing a rock — which, by the way, is still not a good enough reason to kidnap someone and hold them for almost a full year without trial. His health has also reportedly deteriorated during the months in which he was a hostage — and despite the fact that he’s an American, Trump didn’t do a thing to bring him home. Instead, Van Hollen worked to secure Mohammed’s release, and succeeded yesterday.
Van Hollen did something similar earlier this year, fighting to make sure Kilmar Abrego Garcia had access to due process and was released from El Salvador. He was the first to visit El Salvador to try to bring Kilmar back, and one of only 5 Dems to visit him at all.
This is the kind of leadership we should be seeing from all our Dem officials — seeing an injustice, bringing light to it, and fighting to make sure it’s rectified. For the record, I think Van Hollen would make a great Minority Leader, and I’m glad to finally see someone willing to fight for our rights, both at home and abroad.

Trump would never help in such a situation unless someone paid him a huge amount of money. Unlike decent people, he places no value on anything but money, and will never realize that it doesn't bring respect or admiration.
Excellent news, Jack. Senator Van Hollen is an honorable man who deserves our respect. Meanwhile, Trump is in bed with Netanyahu.
