MAGA is falling apart
ICE killed a man in cold blood this weekend, and the Trump admin is having a hard time convincing people they didn’t.
After ICE killed Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse at the VA hospital this weekend, backlash has been pouring in, resulting in BIG NEWS – Greg Bovino (who I’ve heard is 4’11”) and some of his agents are being removed from Minnesota “imminently.”
Just a few hours after the video of the execution surfaced online, Stephen Miller and Kristy Noem called the Alex Pretti a “would-be assassin” and said he was committing domestic terrorism – even though the video shows Pretti get disarmed, be on the floor, and then get shot at 10 times.
Outrage has spread far beyond just those involved in politics – Steph Curry, Tyrese Haliburton, Kourtney Kardashian, and so many others are finally speaking out against ICE, and the Trump admin is panicking.
In a press conference today, Karoline Leavitt refused to back up Miller and Noem, instead saying that Trump wants to wait for the facts — not a courtesy he allowed Renee Nicole Good, but a sign that he knows how unpopular ICE has become.
Now, 20% of people that voted for Trump think his deportation campaign is too aggressive, and Trump’s policies have managed to make “Abolish ICE” a normal take for Americans to have. The backlash has gotten bad enough that a major Republican candidate for governor in Minnesota backed out of the race because of ICE’s cruel policies and what he called ‘retribution’ against his state.
“United States citizens, particularly those of color, live in fear. United States citizens are carrying papers to prove their citizenship. That’s wrong,” he said.
Leavitt also confirmed that Trump does not, in fact, think Alex Pretti was a domestic terrorist — good to know that his eyes still work, even if the status on the rest of him is a little iffy.
This comes the same week as recordings of Ted Cruz from last year trashing Trump and Vance were leaked — not a good week to be MAGA.
