Making Russell Vought the reaper amid a healthcare crisis is a choice

The shutdown seems to be getting to Donald Trump, as late last night, he posted an AI-generated video of him and other member of his admin in a parody of “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” — with Russell Vought as the literal grim reaper.

The video comes on the eve of America’s third day with a shut-down government — a fight based entirely on Democrats trying to save Americans from paying exorbitant healthcare premiums or getting kicked off their health insurance entirely. So, a video of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget as the grim reaper is pretty chilling foreshadowing for what’s coming next — and how little Donald Trump cares.

If Republicans get their way on this shutdown fight, everyone’s health insurance costs will go up — no matter what coverage you have. Not only is Donald Trump comparing his team to the grim reaper during a fight that will almost certainly take lives, Republicans are willing to shut the government down to make sure it happens.

Democrats need to hold the line — people’s lives are at stake. We all know it too; 47% of Americans blame Trump and Republicans for the shutdown, compared to 30% that blame Dems. Makes sense considering Republicans control all 3 branches of the government.
