Republicans Just BLEW UP Trump’s Term

The party that controls the House, the Senate, the Presidency, and the Supreme Court is trying to blame this on Democrats – but we know the truth

I’m writing this at 12:01am after Republicans just shut the government down.

Republicans refused to come to the table to negotiate and apparently disappeared entirely ahead of shutdown negotiations — now, the federal government is closed, and no one knows how long it’ll last (the longest shutdown on record was in 2019 and lasted 34 days — also under a Trump presidency).

Federal workers won’t be paid until the government reopens, museums and monuments will close, courts may soon be unable to hear cases, airports will face long lines as TSA officials join the furloughed club, and the National Guard will still be deployed in various cities across the country — they just won’t be paid to do so.

Republicans put critical services and American workers on the chopping block because Democrats fought to make sure insurance companies can’t keep ripping you off — and Republicans were willing to shut the entire government down to protect profits over people.

Despite the fact that they control the House, the Senate, the Presidency, and the Supreme Court, they’re trying to blame the shutdown on Democrats — but, Donald Trump knows the blame of a shutdown rests squarely on the President’s shoulders — he said so himself ⬇️

In fact, Republicans have been trying to dismantle the government from the day one and Trump has been picking it apart since he took office, firing 280,000 people across 27 separate government agencies. He threatened to make layoffs permanent if the government did shut down — but he’s been doing that either way.

He’s been violating the very freedoms the Founding Fathers fought for since the beginning— free speech, the rule of law, and control of the people by an oligarchy. And all he has to show for it are dismal approval ratings and higher prices on everyday goods.

If Republicans get their way, everyone’s health insurance costs will go up. No matter what coverage you have, you’ll pay more because Republicans want to let insurance companies rip you off — Democrats need to hold the line and keep fighting to protect the American people.
