Trump’s ‘War Room’ just attacked me online, saying I lied about Karoline Leavitt with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. The irony of an admin that lies constantly, every single day, accusing me of lying when I’m not does not escape me, but it does remind me of something important.
Attacking me today, the day that millions of Americans protested across the country against a tyrant that bullies his opponents and is trying to strip the press of their freedoms every single day is dark timing. Over 200,000 people, myself included, showed up in DC today with speakers like Bill Nye, Senator Bernie Sanders, Mehdi Hasan, and so many others.
A theme that stuck with me was unity — as Co-Founder of the Black Voters Matter Fund Cliff Albright said, “If divide and conquer is one of the oldest tricks in the book, then by definition, one of the most revolutionary acts of resistance is simply to be united.”
Unity against the Trump admin, and against their constant lies and hatred, is one of the most important but most basic things we can do to protest — despite their baseless attacks on me, I plan to keep showing up, and I hope you do too.
In an age where independent media has become more influential than the mainstream, it has never been more important to me to continue to do what I do — despite the Trump admin’s baseless attacks.
