Donald Trump apparently can’t go a week without embarrassing himself.
Yesterday, Trump decided to shoot live munitions over Interstate 5 in California for the 250th anniversary of the Marine Corps — something Governor Gavin Newsom tried to object to, but was ignored. Instead, he decided to close part of the freeway, despite military officials saying it was safe for the freeway to remain open.
Though, because Trump can’t do anything right, there ended up being major safety concerns. During the demonstration, a 155-millimeter shell detonated prematurely, causing pieces of the explosive to fall on a California Highway Patrol vehicle and motorcycle that were part of JD Vance’s protective detail. Thankfully, no one was hurt, due to Newsom’s foresight to close the road down.
This failed demonstration comes after Trump announced a ‘triumphal arch’ to be built in DC and hosted billionaire donors for a dinner aimed at raising money for his gold-gilded ballroom — and amid an almost 3-week government shutdown. It also comes after 7 MILLION people came out and protested against Trump’s tyranny over the weekend, and Trump came after me for telling the truth and my friend Harry Sisson in a genuinely odd AI video of Trump literally shitting on American cities.
While people are living paycheck to paycheck — or not getting paid at all — Trump’s embarrassing displays of ego and the sheer failures he seems to be prone to aren’t helping the American people. In fact, all he’s doing is putting us in danger by mobilizing the military against Americans and making everything worse — tanking the economy, killing jobs, and stripping us of rights guaranteed by the Constitution (not that he’s ever read it).
