A very panicked Donald Trump just posted another unhinged attack on the U.S. Supreme Court, this time targeting justices he previously appointed and calling them “weak and stupid.”
For the second consecutive day, Trump threw a tantrum over the courts decision to strike down his flagship tariff policy and raised doubts about his effort to end birthright citizenship.
In an angry Truth Social post on Thursday, Trump complained that liberal justices consistently vote as a bloc, taking a jab at one of the newer members by describing her as a “Low IQ person” who “somehow found her way to the bench (Sleepy Joe).”
The racist remark referred to Ketanji Brown Jackson, nominated by President Joe Biden and the first Black woman to serve on the nation’s highest court.
Trump went on to argue that conservative justices have failed to show the same unity, accusing them of handing victories to Democrats. He pointed to the court’s decision against his tariff policy, describing it as a massive financial loss, and criticized what he called biased questioning on the issue of birthright citizenship.
Earlier this month, Trump made history as the first sitting president to attend Supreme Court oral arguments, as the justices considered whether children born in the United States should automatically receive citizenship. However, he abruptly stormed out before the session concluded, reportedly after it became clear that some conservative justices were not persuaded by his position.
The episode has added to Trump’s growing frustration with the court, particularly following its February decision to end his tariff policy.
