Trump Is A Bully, But He’s LOSING To A Boycott
America's core beliefs are at stake here – but this is a fight we can win
Jimmy Kimmel’s show getting suspended is a five-alarm fire for the future of our country — but it’s an issue we can win on.
Freedom of speech has long been one that the far right has capitalized on, defending their right to say hateful, horrible things by saying it’s their First Amendment right — and they’re correct. The freedom to do and say what you believe is a core American ideal, and Donald Trump is losing support by blatantly trying to limit speech that criticizes him.
Not only are Americans unhappy with Trump’s recent actions, his approval ratings are at record lows across the board on a variety of issues — crime reduction, the economy, and more.
In fact, in a new survey taken after Charlie Kirk’s killing last week, the number of Republicans that think the country is heading in the right direction has fallen 20% since June — down to about half. Only about 25% of all Americans think America is going in the right direction.
Online, right wing influencers (and whatever Dave Portnoy is) are celebrating the weaponization of cancel culture against the left ‘for the first time’, despite the fact that there’s no one leftists love canceling more than other leftists. Beyond the obvious arguments against that, Jimmy Kimmel’s show wasn’t even a cancellable offense — it was just critical of Trump’s response to Charlie Kirk’s death. As a reminder, Trump skipped a vigil for Kirk at the Kennedy Center to go golfing.
People calling it the impacts of cancel culture are omitting one major part of the story, though — cancel culture cannot come from the government, and certainly not from the office of the President of the United States.
When the leader of a country starts ‘canceling’ people online and shutting down comedians, critics, and independent media, that isn’t cancel culture — that’s textbook censorship.
The good news is that collective action works. Since dropping Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Disney’s market value has dropped by $3.8 billion due to ongoing boycotts and subscription cancellations.
Trump wants you to believe Jimmy Kimmel had his show suspended because it was bad for business, but that’s a lie. What is true is that we can get his show back on the air by showing bending the knee to Trump will break the bank — and Disney’s revenue streams and reputation are about to pay the price.
It’s never been more important to fight back and keep yourself informed — the mainstream media has been overtaken by Trump allies or has chosen to capitulate to his administration, but through the power of the people and independent media, we can win. That’s why I’m so grateful to you for being here and reading my pieces — if you aren’t already, please consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. It really is the best way to support my work as an independent journalist.

It's time America. Time to put this pedophile in prison, right where he belongs. He is a nobody. Period...
