No, Donald Trump did not create peace in the Middle East

Trump’s ceasefire deal, which resulted in the finals hostages being returned to Israel, has already been broke by Israel, despite Trump declaring that the war was over.

Just today, Israel has already violated the ceasefire multiple times by drone-striking and then shooting and wounding Palestinians near Khan Younis, killing 5 Palestinians in Gaza City, and shooting and wounding many others near Jabalia.

Yesterday, Hamas released the final 20 hostages back to Israel, while Israel returned 1,968 Palestinians — 1,808 of those were arrested after the Oct. 7 attack on Israel but were not involved in the attack. They were detained for two years for not committing a crime.

So, the ceasefire that Trump claimed full credit for on a variety of world stages already fell apart, as many of his endeavors often do — it’s no wonder he didn’t get the Nobel Peace Prize.

In fact, he actually seems to be advocating for the exact opposite, saying, “We have told Hamas we want disarm. And they will disarm. And if they don’t disarm, we will disarm them. And it will happen quickly and perhaps violently.”

Earlier today, the IDF accused Hamas of violating their ceasefire agreement by delaying the return of hostage bodies — so they cut the number of aid trucks allowed into Gaza by HALF and are restricting aid assistance to the area. They will also reportedly delay the opening of a border crossing into Egypt to Wednesday, and potentially longer.

The cruelty of Israel of halting aid to people that need it desperately in areas that they have bombed into oblivion is unimaginable. We need to keep fighting for the liberation and safety of the Palestinian people — stay tuned here for more updates.
