Trump Trying to Intimidate NJ Voters

We can stop him

It’s Election Day in the United States of America — so obviously, bad actors are trying to intimidate voters out of going to the polls.

Bomb threats were sent to polling places in New Jersey this morning, specifically targeting counties with primarily Black and Latino voters. With what’s expected to be an incredibly close race for Dem Mikie Sherrill, these efforts to scare voters out of going to the polls is an obvious effort to tip the scales in Trump stooge Jack Ciattarelli’s favor (who is, by the way, not the same as Jack Cocchiarella).

Law enforcement has secured the affected areas and ensured that there is no credible threat, but some polling places already had to close temporarily or relocate voters to other polling sites.

Trump knows the importance of this race — he even sent election monitors to polling places in New Jersey and California in what could be seen as another way to intimidate voters.

“This administration has made no secret of its goal to undermine free and fair elections,” said a spokesman for Gavin Newsom in a statement. “Deploying these federal forces appears to be an intimidation tactic meant for one thing: suppress the vote.”
