Sylvia, I struggle with the same issues regarding Jesus' love vs my ego and hate. It is a daily struggle and l ask Him for guidance every day. There are people at the church I attend that are pro dt. The Lord is teaching me to love them and not judge. Challenges make me stronger in my relationship with Him and help keep my focus on Him. Each day when I pray, God reminds me that I must serve only one Master, Him. If I spend my thoughts and spiritual energy on hate, I am not serving Him but another agenda. I don’t hate him but am distraught over the havoc he has created, the pain and death he has wreaked on others, hit total disregard of all that is good. He is the most pitiful man imaginable. I doubt he has ever experienced true love ore happiness.
I do hate his actions, his thoughts, his narcissism, all the harm he has wreaked, all of that. When everything he does, at least what he lets us see, it's difficult not to let that hate also go to the person since all that makes up who he is. I've always believed everyone has some redeeming qualities. I have yet to see any in this demon in training.
